Our team of expert planners will help you navigate the planning cycle and create the best plan for your event and financial considerations.  Our experience in executing a variety of events gives us insight into those elements that can make or break your affair.

For custom-tailored events, we prepare a unique event plan complete with menu options, service details, and a full estimate for food, service, delivery, and other services.  It is best for us to speak with you directly in order to design the plan that meets your needs.

For standard delivery orders, call, fax, or e-mail us at any time.   Please provide us with at least 72 hours notice for your drop off service.   Minimum order levels apply.

Budgeting


Shopping for the best price usually does not guarantee exceptional results. 

As a full-service provider, HauteHouse Cuisine provides and bills for the following services in addition to the costs of providing food.

Typical Catering Expenses:

  • Food Service
  • Beverage Service
  • Event Staffing
  • Rentals - Tables, Linens, Presentation Equipment, Serviceware, etc.
  • Facility Setup
  • Specialty Items - Cakes, A/V equipment, Programs, etc.
  • Decorations
  • Delivery
  • Gratuity

As part of the planning process, we will review these estimates with you for your understanding and approval.


Food & Beverage


Menu Pricing, Confirmations, and Changes

In order to adequately prepare for your event, a guaranteed number of guests for food and beverages services is due by 12:00 noon three (3) business days prior to the event.  This guarantee represents your billing mimimum and will not be subject to reduction.  Any increase in aniticpated guests is subject to additional charges.  If a guarantee is not received, we will charge you for the original count.

We use the finest ingredients to prepare your meals.  Due to the fluctuating costs, menu prices may change without notice.  We cannot guarantee food and beverage prices more than three (3) months prior to the event date.

We try in every way to accommodate any required changes.  If you must cancel your order, please provide at least 24 hours notice.  However, because our product is perishable and rentals must be confirmed in advance, cancellations within 24 hours of delivery will incur a full charge.

Beverage Services

HauteHouse Cuisine does not sell alcoholic beverages directly to clients.  Clients can either order their own beverages and request bar setup and bartender(s) through HauteHouse Cuisine; or, if the event is in a home location, provide their own beverages and have a self-serve bar.

Generally, we help clients coordinate their beverage purchase with one of several major distributors.  We are happy to make suggestions for the types of beer, wine, hard liquors, mixers, nonalcoholic beverages, garnish and supplies required for setup.

Bar setup fees are charged for each event.  The fee includes garnishes, ice, and liability insurance.  When we provide full bar service, we bring all the necessary equipment for your bar setup, and can arrange for all of the rentals (glassware, etc), if necessary. 


Staffing


Each staff member plays a critical role in the success of your event.  We provide trained, personable staff for events we cater.   

Event staffing consists of the following personnel:

  • Kitchen Manager and Assistants - responsible for food preparation and presentation
  • Floor Staff - responsible for buffet setup/management or plated service setup/presentation, guest comfort, and other tableside requests
  • Bartenders - responsible for beverage/bar station setup and guest service
  • Porters - responsible for loading and unloading at kitchen and event site, cleaning before, during and after event, refuse disposal, etc.

Your estimate includes a 5-hour minimum charge for all staffed events.

When your needs exceed our in-house staff, we work with Chicago's finest industry staffing agents to guarantee you receive exceptional service.


Delivery


We deliver to your office, home, or special location at most any time.  Delievery fees are quoted on a case-by-case basis and take into consideration distance, time, required equipment and facility configuration.

Depending on your desired service level, we may need to arrange for additional equipment deliveries and retrievals prior to and after your event.  If necessary, we will schedule a convenient time for these activities.  You may be charged for any items that are lost or stolen while in storage. 


Payment


To ensure availability, we encourage you to reserve your date as soon as practicable.  We require a 50% deposit to reserve all dates.  Final payment is due at delivery.

For your convenience, we accept the following forms of payment: Cash, Checks (made out to HauteHouse Cuisine), and Credit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discovery).  Please let us know if you will be paying for services via a corporate account.  We will send the information required to establish HauteHouse Cuisine as a vendor in your payables system.

All services are subject to all current state and local taxes.  HauteHouse Cuisine reserves the right to add a gratuity on pre-tax food and beverage costs for staffed events.  In order to better serve you, we routinely add an 18% taxable service fee for coordinating the requirements of your event.
